To uninstall the old USB Overdrive, use the Uninstall USB Overdrive application thats located in the Utilities folder inside your Applications folder. To navigate to the 'confirm' button, just use tab, and then press enter to select the button. One thing I didn't try was restarting the Mac after disabling the gamepad in USB Overdrive, so I will reinstall USB Overdrive and see whether disabling the device while using OpenEmu will work if I restart the computer. If you can get a keyboard working, just press cmd + space to open spotlight, and search for something like 'uninstall usb' and the suggestion should autofill for uninstalling USB Overdrive. ![]() Only problem is that I need USB Overdrive to use the gamepad for other games. Anyway, after that the Gravis GamePad Pro worked perfectly with OpenEmu. Review USB Overdrive files or folders, click Complete Uninstall button and then click Yes in the pup-up dialog box to confirm USB Overdrive removal. The only way to get it to work was to fully uninstall USB Overdrive AND restart the Mac. I can only use it for the duration of the session I installed it in. OpenEmu could recognise and list it, but whenever I tried using it for a game it just wouldn't work. When I install USB Overdrive, and restart my Mac, it doesnt recognize USB Overdrive, and it has to reinstall it again. However, no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to work with OpenEmu while USB Overdrive was installed. In my case I have a Gravis GamePad Pro that I've used successfully with USB Overdrive for playing games on the Mac. Seems just having it installed is causing problems. Logitech mouse driver alternative for Mac OS X. might cause problems later on for example none of the gestures on my Magic Mouse worked because I hadnt removed USB Overdrives kernel extension. Sure you don't need USB Overdrive to use many controllers etc with OpenEmu, but if you DO need it for some other reason then it still needs to be installed. I had to install different drivers in OS X Lion to check if a unknown mouse would work. There does seem to be a conflict issue with USB Overdrive and OpenEmu. If you are using a desktop Mac, see if you can borrow an Apple USB mouse and keyboard. ![]()
